Please arrive on time! We suggest arriving 45 minutes prior to curtain time to allow time to use the restrooms, visit the bar, and be seated comfortably. Seating begins 30 minutes prior to curtain time. Latecomers will not be seated until an appropriate interval.
Although your seat number may appear non-sequential - for example, seats 5 and 7 - the seats are, in fact, adjacent.
The theatre is climate controlled - heated in the winter and air conditioned in the summer. Dress comfortably for theatre; clothing suitable for a nice restaurant is appropriate.
Please refrain from taking photographs or using recording devices or cell phones during the performance.

As a courtesy to patrons and performers alike, please stay at your seat until the houselights have come up at the end of the show.
A full service bar, as well as a candy and gift shop, are located in the lobby of each theatre and are open one hour prior to curtain and during intermission. Patrons may pre-order intermission cocktails before the show. Your order will be waiting in the lobby or in the Members' Lounge.
Goodspeed Members may enjoy intermission drinks and view the Connecticut River in the Libby Metzger Kaye Members’ Lounge. This unique space provides an example of what an actors’ theatre lounge may have looked like in the 19th century, and has been made available for the enjoyment of our Members. Both theatres are equipped with a state-of-the-art Sennheiser infrared hearing system to assist hearing-impaired patrons through the generosity of the Carol L. Sirot Foundation. This system can be used independently or in conjunction with patrons’ normal hearing aids. The devices are available free of charge at the Box Office.
GOODSPEED OPERA HOUSE

Accessible parking is located in front of the Gelston House and in the spaces closest to the footbridge along the stream in the Main Parking Lot.
Access to the Opera House for patrons who are unable to manage stairs is via an elevator with an outside entrance located on the side of the building closest to the swing bridge. Elevator service is available to the lobby and the orchestra level of the Opera House; the mezzanine level is not accessible via elevator.
